A dieting buckwheat diet is one of many mono-food systems that does not require a limit on the size of portions consumed, but requires the consumption of only one, up to two foods. The effectiveness and safety of the method have not been clinically confirmed, so many nutritionists, doctors and athletes dispute its benefits to the body. However, the system also has quite a few fans. The diet works exclusively because of the low calorie content of cereals. Some diet fans even argue that if you dilute buckwheat with kefir, you can safely refuse other products.

Power scheme

The essence of such a diet is extremely simple: for a week or two, but no longer, for all meals, including snacks - a specially prepared buckwheat paste. The grits must be washed thoroughly and "steamed", ie poured over boiling water and left to stand for five to six hours. Buckwheat is usually made in the evening. The resulting mass is consumed in small portions of about five to six portions. It is impossible to cook, add sugar, salt and other flavor enhancers. But water and green tea - in unlimited quantities, as well as low-fat kefir, but not more than a liter per day.

If you manage to eat a buckwheat for a full week, from the second onwards, experts strongly recommend diluting the cramped menu with other products. It is already dangerous to continue such a diet for more than fourteen days, it is better to simply switch to proper nutrition and try to maintain the result.

The severe version of the diet prescribes the consumption of buckwheat only with kefir or separately. But there is also a gentle cure that allows you to consume some vegetables, fruits and milk. Such a diet is definitely healthier and fuller. The buckwheat diet for weight loss for 7 days looks like this:

Advantages and disadvantages

By adding other products, fresh food becomes more or less compatible with one product. The advantages of this method include the relatively fast weight loss per kilogram due to the low caloric content of cereals and the relatively low health risk compared to other mono-diets. Buckwheat continues to be good for hair and nails, and is full of nutrients and fiber to help cleanse the intestines. Theoretically, there will be no physiological hunger because the amount of buckwheat is unlimited. What not to say about the psychological desire for a sweet, salty, or at least some other product. After all, it seems at first glance that 14 days is a small interval. If you can afford to eat a single product, time goes on indefinitely! Plus one point: if you have a muscle splint in your body that you don’t want to lose, don’t resort to the buckwheat method because the menu doesn’t provide enough protein to "nourish the muscles, " meaning it can simply "burn out" and the volume can drop significantly.

Don't try

The buckwheat diet is definitely not suitable for women who are breastfeeding, minors, and adults who have stomach, intestinal, or nervous system problems. The diagnosis of diabetes and high blood pressure is also on the list of contraindications to the weight loss method. The most common side effects experienced by the experimenter are headache, body weakness, distraction, and decreased performance. This is due to a lack of glucose and many of the substances needed by the body due to malnutrition.

It is worth leaving the diet very carefully, remembering that a sharp return to the previous diet will inevitably result in supercompensation, and the lost centimeters will return and take a few more with them. Therefore, we are returning smoothly to our usual menu, gradually introducing new steamed and oven-baked foods as well as protein-rich foods. We only remember sweet, fried, canned, starchy and other foods on holidays.

Again, consuming a food for extended periods of time and avoiding different foods deprives the body of the nutrients it needs to function properly. Before reducing the menu to buckwheat and kefir, it is better to discuss the experiment with your doctor.

But such a calorie deficit can be produced not only with buckwheat but also with various other products!

It turns out that there is no need to torture yourself with a single product if you can eat deliciously and lose weight at the same time. After all, every monodiet is full of failures (in simple words - "gluttony"), and obviously after such an attempt it will surely stop its love of buckwheat.
