What do you associate with Sweden? Battle of Poltava, ABBA group, Swedish family or Swedish wall? And here was born Anna Johansson, a doctor who made a real revolution in nutrition with a diet like the "6 Petal Diet. "
The essence of the diet
You can rest assured immediately, you don’t have to eat only six petals a day, the diet is more varied, and in principle, there is no flower eating in it. Although Dr. Johansson promises to lose 5 pounds in a week, this seems like an incredible result.
A petal is a day in the diet when you can only eat a certain amount of a kind of food. The order of the days is important, so you can draw up to six flowers with six petals, write a serial number on each menu, and strictly follow the recommendations.
This is the convenience of this diet anyway. No need to guess what to eat. You clearly know the diet for the next few days.
It’s monodiet to some extent, but the body doesn’t have time to get used to some kind of food and switch to energy-saving mode. In addition, studies have shown that monodiet shorter than one day is most effective in burning fat.
The results in this diet can be achieved by alternating protein and carbohydrates and reducing the number of calories consumed. You eat a kind of food every day and don’t mix proteins with carbs, which allows you to break down fats more efficiently.
How to cook food
Food can be cooked, steamed, fried or steamed, but frying and adding oil is strictly prohibited. In addition, the author suggests limiting coffee consumption to 1-2 small cups per day. Without sugar, of course. In his opinion, it is better to drink at least 1, 5 liters per day of tea or mineral water without gas. But under no circumstances should you drink liquid food, only 30 minutes or an hour after a meal.
And so that the hunger is not overcome, divide all the food into 4-5 servings. And you don’t have to stick to fixed intervals. Want to eat? He went and ate. Well, or drinking green tea.
The diet can be followed for two weeks in a row. But don’t forget to take a break for at least two weeks before trying again.
In addition, the diet is contraindicated:
- Pregnant;
- breastfeeding mothers;
- Diseases of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, heart, endocrine system (especially diabetes);
- With anemia;
- With infections or immediately after illness;
- Exacerbation of any chronic disease.
And yet, while this is not a direct contraindication, it will be difficult to follow such a diet while working. So it is better to go for a vacation.

seventh petal
No, this is not an optical illusion. And yes, you read the name of the diet correctly. There are actually six petals and six different diets to switch between, but there is one important thing like leaving the diet. The day you realize you can do anything.
The most important thing on this day is not to relax enough to regain half of what you lost. Someone is recommending a phasing out and advising us to eat only the foods we have been consuming for the time being, just increase the portions slightly.
Proponents of radical methods say the easy way is not for us and suggest that we spend the seventh day exclusively on the water. Which of the two options do you prefer - choose for yourself.
Of course, you can just wave and drop back into the world of delicious cakes.
Why a good diet
Does this diet help you decide to lose weight? Definitely yes, the Swedes did their best. If you try, you will lose 0, 6-0, 9 kg per day.
Is it possible to survive without failures? Also a positive answer. The diet is quite simple and allows us to eat enough not to look longingly and nostalgically at a piece of bread.
However, despite all its effectiveness, "6 petals" still does not solve the problem of the future diet. Six days of diet will pass and you will return to your usual diet and it will give you back the pounds you have lost. So even if you follow this diet, it’s best to look at it as a step towards a healthier future.
